This is a pivotal administrative support role within the Coastal, Biodiversity and Information branch, which delivers critical scientific programs to inform Queensland's environmental policies and decisions.
About the Role
As an Executive Support Officer, you will provide essential support to the Executive Director and Directors, ensuring the smooth operation of the branch's activities. Your role will be integral to maintaining the branch's high standards of governance, communication, and collaboration.
You will:
• Manage the Executive Director's calendar, correspondence, and document flow, ensuring timely responses and follow-ups.
• Coordinate meeting papers, travel arrangements, and project documentation to support the branch's strategic objectives.
• Provide research, quality assurance, and administrative support for the preparation of briefing notes, reports, and correspondence.
• Utilise digital tools and platforms, including SharePoint and the Ministerial and Executive Correspondence System (MECS), to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
• Foster productive working relationships across teams and with senior leadership to align objectives and deliverables.
• Support the coordination of branch contributions to divisional strategic and operational planning.
Success in this role will be reflected in the seamless delivery of administrative support, enhanced operational efficiency, and strengthened collaboration across the branch.
