We're looking for a results-driven individual for our Metropolitan Region with extensive expertise in strategic leadership, who is passionate, positive, and dedicated. The Regional Director leads the region and is a key member of the regional leadership team. The Regional Director also collaborates with key internal and external stakeholders. You will strengthen economic opportunities for individuals, industry and communities now and into the future, and connect people to quality training and skills.
About the role
As the Regional Director, you will:
- Lead the strategic management of regional resources, including budgets, staff, and systems, to achieve performance standards and deliver on annual resource agreements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including industry groups, employers, government agencies, and local councils, to advance the department's objectives.
- Provide strategic advice on emerging and sensitive regional matters, including planning, budgeting, and policy development, to support informed decision-making.
- Collaborate with other Regional Directors to identify opportunities for business improvement, ensure consistent service delivery, and maintain high-quality programs across Queensland.
- Represent the department in whole-of-government and community forums, advocating for regional concerns and ensuring alignment with departmental policies and strategic priorities.
