Manager, Prisoner Technology (AO8) The Manager, Prisoner Technology is responsible for statewide governance, oversight and assurance of prisoner-facing technologies implemented across Queensland correctional centres. This includes non technical product management of the prisoner telephone system, virtual prisoner visits, and ancillary contracted services such as email a prisoner and voicemail. The role leads the development of policy frameworks and governance and assurance processes that support safety, security, rehabilitation and family connection within a custodial environment.
Working within the Performance and Improvement Command, the position collaborates with Digital Services, operational leaders and contracted providers to ensure technology solutions meet operational requirements and align with divisional strategic objectives. The role develops executive briefings on risks, issues and trends; maintains data driven insights and dashboard reporting; and leads statewide change management activities relating to prisoner technologies, including implementation planning, operational readiness and post implementation review. The position contributes to broader command priorities and supports continuous improvement across Custodial Operations.
