Offender Rehabilitation and Management Services (ORMS) is looking for a project manager with strong skills and experience in service delivery planning, risk management, procurement and commissioning to assist with a range of business readiness and service implementation activities over the coming 8 months.

The successful applicant will bring project management experience within an offender rehabilitation or correctional environment, and be ready to work collaboratively across a range of teams and stakeholders. Rather than overseeing any one project, this role will work across portfolios with a view to positioning ORMS for success in the implementation and ongoing management of multiple new and existing rehabilitation programs and services.

The Project Manager ORMS Programs and Services will: -

  • Support the Director and ORMS Managers by leading projects and managing planning, development and coordination of systems and activities focused on the monitoring, review, design and implementation of rehabilitation services including contracted services.
  • Plan, schedule, monitor and report on activities, ensuring there are appropriate and effective governance arrangements in place, supported by comprehensive reporting on implementation progress.
  • Provide high level quality advice to relevant departmental senior executives and management.
  • Ensure the project's objectives align with business, departmental and whole-of-Government objectives.
  • Effectively manage issues, conflicts and priorities to ensure the program of work remains on track.
  • Provide high level and operational advice and direction in relation to QCS practices and processes related to the operational management of contracted services.
  • Manage and control resources against related project budget.
  • Develop and maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships across Government and non-Government organisations, including with CCSO projects and key corporate support areas such as Procurement and Contract Management Group and Finance.
  • Manage expectations of all project stakeholders.
  • Management and preparation of strategic advice and ministerial and executive correspondence ensuring accuracy and timelines are met.
