Your role within Social and Affordable Housing Growth will support the department to lead the delivery of enhanced housing outcomes through an integrated approach to overall supply. The work you will do helps someone every day, and that means the world to us.
Through partnerships, The Social Housing Delivery Office provide and influence the provision of safe, secure, affordable, and appropriate housing to the people of Queensland, and the building of vibrant and connected precincts and communities in which they live.

As Business Support Officer, you will provide administrative and business support to the branch and assist in coordinating activities within your team and across the office.

What you will be doing: 
•    Provide general administrative support and undertake administrative research activities and projects as required. 
•    Undertake purchasing responsibilities and monitor budgets as directed. 
•    Coordinate conference, forums and other events including venue booking, catering, preparation of agendas, set up of technical equipment and recording of minutes as required. 
•    Coordinate travel, preparing itineraries and accommodation arrangements as required. 
•    Create, maintain and monitor departmental files. 
•    Liaise with internal and external individuals and agencies as required on a range of matters. 
•    Work both independently and as a team member to develop and maintain good communication and effective working. 
•    Operate a range of office equipment to maintain effective systems and procedures, including use of computers, word processing, database and spreadsheet packages. 
Supporting and helping maintain a workplace safety culture by ensuring that all policies and practices concerning Workplace Health and Safety are applied and a part of day-to-day operations.

•    Commit to your own development and continuous self-improvement and see learning opportunities in everyday work.
