Your key accountabilities
The core capability requirements for this role are:
• Manage the RTO compliance for the organisation to ensure compliance and alignment with current legislation, regulations and industry standards.
• Develop, review and maintain plans, schedules, quality control and version control of all training policies and procedures, manuals and regulation documentation.
• Coordinate and implement the regional RTO audit plan of training and assessment material in consultation with the regional and state training units.
• Provide post audit written compliance reports and assist regions with rectification of issues identified during the audit process to ensure ongoing compliance with standards, policy and procedures.
• Provide advice on curriculum design and compliance and support training staff in order to maintain their training skills and qualifications for the effective delivery and assessment of training courses and programs.
• Review training materials, including assessment strategies that demonstrate RTO compliance and provide advice on matters relating to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Communicate regulatory requirements or compliance issues to senior management to help maintain the effective delivery of training across the organisation.
• Maintain industry and stakeholder engagement to ensure adherence to best practice, standards and to identify new developments and ideas.

Technical/ Operational/ Educational experience
• Hold a current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent or can obtain the skill within a mutually agreed timeframe.
• Knowledge and/or experience working in a compliance or quality assurance role in an RTO environment.
• Knowledge or experience in project management methodologies.
Other
• It is expected the incumbent will possess the necessary expertise or experience to be appointed as an Authorised Rescue Officer in accordance with section 148(2) of the Fire and Emergency Services Act 1990. Therefore, this role is also a designated SES uniformed position.
• Capacity to work on night and weekends to suit an SES volunteer environment.
• It is expected that the incumbent will participate in an out-of-hours on-call roster during emergency operations. This may require work outside of normal hours (e.g. night shift), including weekends, working extended hours and may include travel to rural and remote communities, intrastate or interstate travel as necessary and/or deployment activities to other parts of the state.
