Community Recovery is the lead agency for the provision of human and social recovery support to Queenslanders impacted by disasters including the provision of personal financial support, emotional support and recovery activities.
The Long-Term Recovery and Resilience team (LTRR) establishes and manages long-term recovery and resilience programs to support communities affected by disaster events.
In this Principal Program Officer Contract and Engagement role, you will lead a team of program officers to support the end-to-end management and administration of human and social service contracts in line with the Commonwealth Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA), ensuring compliance and value and quality in service delivery. You will provide high-level operational and tactical advice to the Manager Service Delivery and Engagement by analysing contract management workflows and developing processes and systems to mitigate risks and streamline operations. You will analyse data for governance and reporting and foster a collaborative and supportive team environment in line with organisational values.
The ideal candidate will come with prior end-to-end contract management experience preferably managing human and social service contracts in the public sector. The successful candidate will possess strong financial acumen with the ability to analyse and interpret financial information. You will be proactive and results-focussed and have demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to drive targeted outcomes in a busy and complex environment. You will have strong critical analysis and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to manage risk. Well-developed stakeholder engagement skills with demonstrated interpersonal, communication (written and verbal) and negotiation skills is essential for succeeding in this role.
