About the role
The Business Systems team plays a critical role in supporting the digital platforms and services used by frontline staff across Service Centre Operations. These systems enable high‑volume, customer‑facing services and are central to delivering reliable, accessible and customer‑focused government services to Queenslanders.

We are seeking a Senior Advisor (User Acceptance Testing) to help establish and uplift UAT capability across a complex operational and digital environment. This role is well suited to someone who combines strong testing expertise with the ability to influence, collaborate and drive continuous improvement.

You will work closely with business teams, project delivery partners and technical stakeholders to ensure system changes, ranging from enhancements and upgrades to major delivery initiatives, are thoroughly tested, business‑ready and fit for purpose. The role has a strong focus on governance, quality and consistency, while remaining flexible and responsive to competing priorities and time‑critical releases.

Who we are looking for
We are looking for an experienced and proactive UAT professional who enjoys working across multiple initiatives and engaging with a wide range of stakeholders.
You are comfortable operating in ambiguity, can translate business needs into effective testing strategies, and are confident providing clear, evidence‑based advice to senior stakeholders.

You will bring a strong understanding of UAT within service delivery or digital environments, along with experience developing or reviewing test strategies, coordinating testing activities and supporting teams through change. While you do not need to be deeply technical, you are able to work effectively with technical teams and vendors and understand how system changes impact frontline operations.  Just as importantly, you value collaboration and quality outcomes. You enjoy coaching others, improving processes and helping build sustainable capability rather than simply delivering one‑off testing activities.

What you can expect
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Influence how UAT is planned, governed and delivered across Service Centre Operations
- Work on meaningful systems that support everyday interactions with Queenslanders
- Contribute to improved digital outcomes through stronger testing practices and assurance
- Be part of a supportive team that values professionalism, flexibility and continuous improvement

We offer flexible working arrangements, a positive and inclusive workplace culture and the chance to make a genuine contribution to public service delivery.

If you are motivated by quality, enjoy working at the intersection of business and technology and want to help shape how digital services are delivered and improved, we encourage you to apply.

Applications may remain current for 12 months.
