About the role
The role of the Administration Officer is to contribute to the provision of effective, high quality financial, human resource and business support to Youth Justice

Key responsibilities
As an Administration Officer, you will specifically:

• Provide timely, high quality advice and support to Youth Justice in relation to financial, human and physical resources and activities
• Provide support and on-the-job mentoring to A02 administrative staff and trainees
• Provide administrative coordination and support in relation to Youth Justice activities, including record keeping, planning forums, program development, management activities and quality reports and correspondence
• Maintain effective administrative systems in Youth Justice, including systems relating to asset management, financial, human resource, performance reporting and business processes

To be successful in this role you will be required to demonstrate capability in the following areas:

• You have the demonstrated ability to rapidly develop proficiency in organisational specific programs and databases. You have capacity to acquire basic knowledge of youth justice matters and the issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and other cultures. (Technical/role specific - if relevant)
• You understand the work environment, contribute to work plans and team goals and identify issues which could impact on tasks. (Supports strategic direction)
• You identify and use resources wisely, see tasks through to completion, work within agreed priorities, and demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to meet changing work requirements. (Achieves results)
• You build and sustain positive and productive relationships with clients and team members to ensure courteous, prompt and professional service delivery (Supports productive working relationships)
• You take time to learn and comply with relevant policies, regulations and operating procedures, take responsibility for your own work, and behave in an honest and ethical manner. (Displays personal drive and integrity)
• You ensure clear oral and written communication and adapt your communication style to ensure the needs of different audiences are addressed (Communicates with influence)
