Senior Business and Project Support Officer

As Senior Business and Project Support Officer within the Legacy and Impact team, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games (the Games) legacy outcomes, helping to maximise long term economic, social and environmental benefits for Queensland.
Reporting to the Director, Legacy Implementation, this role provides high level administrative, project and secretariat support and works closely with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate legacy initiatives, support governance and engagement activities and deliver outcomes aligned with the bold vision of the Games . This is a unique opportunity to contribute to one of the most significant events in Queensland’s history and leave a lasting legacy beyond the Games.

Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
• Provide high level, confidential secretariat and business support to the Legacy and Impact team, including diary management, travel coordination, procurement and financial processing, HR onboarding support, and preparation of correspondence and presentations.
• Support the coordination and delivery of Games legacy projects and programs through sound project and program administration, including systems support, research and preparation of reports and briefings.
• Deliver secretariat support for committees, forums, events, roundtables and senior meetings, including coordinating logistics, agendas, minutes, action tracking and follow up actions.
• Assist in engagement and consultation activities with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to support legacy planning and delivery.
• Build and maintain productive, collaborative working relationships across government, industry and Games partners to support consultation, liaison and achievement of agreed priorities.
• Contribute to a positive, values-based workplace culture that is safe, respectful, inclusive and supports high performance.
In addition to the Suitability Assessment criteria, those with experience providing administrative program support, particularly within government or public sector settings, will be prioritised. Exposure to major project or program delivery, ideally including funding programs, events or initiatives with defined delivery timeframes will be highly advantageous.
The role suits a proactive individual who demonstrates initiative, agility and the ability to navigate complex environments and who can work effectively across multiple stakeholder groups. Proven experience delivering secretariat support for committees will be viewed favourably.
