The Ancillary Services Supervisor oversees the operations and outputs of the laundry, cleaning and maintenance function at the centre.

You will be required to monitor and supervise ancillary services staff and resources to support efficient service delivery that meets relevant industry standards.

As Ancillary Services Supervisor, you will specifically:

• Demonstrate cultural capability and/or a commitment to developing cultural capability to ensure an inclusive culture that aligns with the Human Rights Act 2019 and supports departmental programs and community partnerships aimed at preserving cultural connections for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
• Supervise and participate in the day-to-day operations of the ancillary services area including the oversight of cleaning, laundry and maintenance operations.
• Undertake administrative duties, record keeping, rostering and reporting relating to the ancillary services team.
• Comply with the security and safety of the Youth Detention Centre by observing practice and procedures as they relate to ancillary services processes and procedures.
• Implement, develop, and oversee the procedures for cleaning, laundry and maintenance services to meets relevant industry standards.
• Maintain a safe, secure and productive working environment, which responds to the safety of staff and young people.
• Actively participate in and contribute to the good governance and objectives of the directorate and department.
