This role plays a key part in strengthening manufacturing capability and sustainability in the Mackay, Isaac and Whitsunday region. As part of the Queensland Manufacturing Hub Mackay team, you will work closely with industry, government and education stakeholders to support the delivery of initiatives aligned to the Transforming Queensland Manufacturing Strategy and regional priorities.
In the role, you will engage with local manufacturers to understand workforce and training needs, assist businesses to access relevant skills development programs, and help design and deliver initiatives that respond to current and emerging industry challenges. You will collaborate across the Queensland Manufacturing Hub network, liaise with local governments, economic development agencies and education institutions, and contribute to coordinated support for regional manufacturers. The role also requires sound judgement, clear communication and a commitment to strong governance, customer service and teamwork.
Success in this role looks like trusted relationships with regional manufacturers and partners, practical initiatives that support workforce capability, and high quality contributions to a collaborative, outcomes focused team that delivers value to industry and the region.
