Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides definitive and expert advice in the development and design of Power Platform solutions. 
  • Leading the planning, design, development, and support of Power Apps, Power Automate flows, Dynamics 365 apps, Power Portals (Power Pages) and integrations for complex solutions whilst maintaining high quality testing assurances for bug free development. 
  • Applies agreed standards, guidelines, patterns, and tools to the development of solutions against functional and non-functional requirements in alignment with agreed software design standards. (SFIA: SWDN 4)
  • Liaise with business and technology teams on release scheduling and communication of application releases through Azure DevOps Pipelines, within defined change controls and maintain accurate documentation of solutions and release changes. (SFIA: RELM 5)
  • Stay up to date with the latest Power Platform features and recommend innovative solution to improve business processes. Contribute to the Power Community of Practice to drive a Centre of Excellence, encouraging innovation and knowledge sharing for Power Platform developers across the department.
  • Manage and co-ordinate development and support activities with other developers in the team to ensure that planned initiatives/projects are delivered to requirements and development standards/guardrails.

Technical skills, abilities and cultural capability:

  • Demonstrated advanced level of recent industry experience in leading development of Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate solutions and integration into the Dynamics 365 suite or with other Microsoft solutions, including their support, within a complex enterprise setting.
  • Strong understanding of Power Apps, Power BI and Power Automate technologies with focus on management and support.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in project delivery processes using Agile and Lean approaches with a solid knowledge of DevOps development methodology.
  • Demonstrated experience with Azure DevOps Git Repositories and Azure Pipeline deployments.
  • Knowledge and experience in testing best practices and Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodologies.
  • Knowledge and experience in Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) practices.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Azure services and solution design.
