Senior Analyst

You are an experienced data analyst with high-level skills, who has worked with large workforce datasets with a primary focus on workforce compliance reporting, analytics and business improvement to deliver quality workforce analytics for the department. You have a passion for conducting exploratory data analysis and research to identify actionable insights and the discipline to manage and ensure accurate and timely workforce compliance and conduct data reporting for our stakeholders. This role will have close working relationships with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external to the department. Your role will also include managing HR system service provisions by third-party providers such as Queensland Shared Services to the department.

As a member of this team, you will produce a range of regular and ad-hoc HR reports and dashboards for senior management. You will play a major role in providing data and information for Estimates and Parliamentary Questions on Notice. This role will also provide system support to the Aurion payroll system and have a focus on business improvement.
As a Senior Analyst you will:
- Deliver accurate and timely critical operational and strategic workforce planning and workforce compliance reporting by undertaking detailed research and analysis of the department's workforce and conduct data.
- Plan and deliver high-quality data analytics work within tight deadlines in a fast-paced working environment, focusing on providing clear actionable insights to support workforce planning and HR strategies.
- Ensure efficient workforce and conduct data management with a focus on quality and compliance, while delivering a responsive reporting service to clients and stakeholders.
- Support correspondence activities relating to workforce and conduct data for Estimates, Parliamentary Questions on Notice and other critical correspondence processes.
- Ensure that workforce profile information and reporting provided is consistent and aligned with Queensland Government HR reporting practices set by the Public Sector Commission.
- Work with clients and stakeholders to co-design data visualisations and reports from your analysis, implementing them in strategic and operational HR dashboards (e.g. Power BI) for senior leaders across the department.
- Maintain and further develop the Workforce Analytics platforms (using the Microsoft Suite - SQL Reporting Services, SharePoint, Power BI).
- Manage, test and provide support in relation to HR payroll, time sheeting and roster systems.
- Foster a collaborative team environment and help develop capabilities of your team members and colleagues.
