The PSC is seeking a dynamic professional to join the Priority Initiatives and Program Development team. This adaptable, multi-disciplinary team delivers scalable, system-wide outcomes, focusing on collaboration and innovation to support a capable, ethical and connected public sector.
In this role, you'll lead high-priority workforce initiatives, develop frameworks, programs and tools, and work closely with the Department of Natural Resources and Mines, Manufacturing and Regional and Rural Development to embed the Regional Collaborative Governance Model and strengthen regional leadership. You'll also contribute to key projects like the State of the Sector Report and Collaboration Connect tools.
We're looking for someone with experience managing complex projects, with strong collaboration skills and a passion for innovation.

Join the Public Sector Commission (PSC) and contribute to building a capable, ethical and connected public sector that delivers for Queensland.
The Priority Initiatives and Program Development team is part of the PSC's Policy and Implementation Division. It is an adaptable, multi-disciplinary team that delivers fit-for-purpose, scalable outcomes with a system-wide perspective.
In this role, you will lead the design and delivery of high-priority workforce initiatives, including developing fit-for-purpose frameworks, programs and scalable tools and resources for the public sector. The position works closely with the Department of Natural Resources and Mines, Manufacturing and Regional and Rural Development to embed the Regional Collaborative Governance Model and strengthen regional leadership capability.
The team leads high-profile initiatives such as the State of the Sector Report and the implementation of the Collaboration Connect suite of tools.

Qualifications
There are no mandatory qualifications or requirements for the role, however, tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management, Public Policy or Administration, Organisational Psychology, Business or a related field will be highly regarded.
Experience
- Experience managing complex and inter-related projects with multiple stakeholders and timeframes
- Experience in critical and systems-level thinking to align initiatives with the broader, long-term goals of the organisation and public sector.
- Ability to be able to critically analyse data and develop and implement strategies and projects with a whole of sector focus.
Personal attributes
- Strong collaborations and facilitation skills, and ability to establish relationships with stakeholders to achieve shared outcomes.
- Curiosity to seek out new ideas and innovative approaches to improve future workforce practices.
- Strong organisational and coordination skills as well as attention to detail.
- Flexibility, adaptability and resilience.
Skills and abilities
- Highly developed interpersonal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with stakeholders who may hold diverse and competing views.
- Ability to develop and if required deliver workforce capability-building programs to strengthen workforce skills and capacity.
