Key responsibilities
- Delivering frontline customer service including investigating and assisting with the resolution of difficult complaints and assisting with the preparation of material for ministerials and other correspondence.
- Providing advice to industry and stakeholders on legislation, policy and operational.
- Monitoring data systems, including the School Transport Information Management System, to ensure accountability and sound governance.
- Coordinating, administering and supervising specialised school transport and the school transport assistance scheme. (STAS)
- Assisting with monitoring performance under service contracts with a particular emphasis on compliance and operational delivery. About you You will need to demonstrate the following: Mandatory qualifications and conditions
- Due to this role having access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment to the role.
- Hold a current C class driver licence.
- May be required to undertake frequent intra-state travel. Requirements of the role

Currently the Regional Operations office is in Maryborough, with plans for the office to move to Hervey Bay in late 2026.
