The Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation is seeking a motivated and experienced Principal Compliance Officer to join our Gold Coast Inspectorate team. Based onsite at The Star Casino, you will lead a team of compliance officers to ensure the integrity of Queensland's liquor and gambling industries. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the safety and fairness of our community while working in a dynamic and challenging environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of compliance officers to deliver high-quality regulatory outcomes.
Oversee compliance monitoring activities, including inspections and investigations, to ensure adherence to liquor and gambling legislation.
Provide expert advice on compliance-related matters and industry best practices.
Prepare high-quality written correspondence, including briefing notes, reports, and ministerial correspondence.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including casino operators and government entities, to achieve organisational objectives.
Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to enhance compliance functions.
About You:
To succeed in this role, you will have:
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and guide staff.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with diverse stakeholders.
A working knowledge of, or the ability to quickly acquire knowledge of, liquor and gambling legislation.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and make sound decisions within policy and procedural frameworks.
Additional Information:
This role may require shift work outside standard core hours of Monday to Friday.
