Your Opportunity
You will be part of a team responsible for reviewing and implementing regional plans (excluding South-east Queensland) under the Planning Act 2016 and the Regional Planning Interests Act 2014. In this role you will work closely with stakeholders such as other state agencies, local governments, infrastructure providers, community representatives, industry peak bodies and technical experts, to help to understand the needs of growing regional communities.

Your responsibilities
- Apply strategic thinking and problem-solving to planning policy and development assessment matters related to regional planning.
- Maintain appropriate project management and reporting systems and identify opportunities for improvement which will add value to the business needs.
- Undertake research, analysis, and administrative activities to support the development of regional plans.
- Liaise and develop professional networks with internal and external stakeholders by establishing and maintaining open and effective lines of communication.
- Liaise and collaborate within the division, department, and other relevant government agencies on project, programs, or initiatives, whilst maintaining positive and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders.
- Participate in team meetings and divisional discussions in a respectful manner and share your technical skills and experience to provide support to other officers in the team.
- Represent the department, as appropriate, at meetings, consultation activities, forums, committees, industry/stakeholder events in an effective and professional manner.
- Provide effective administrative support such as maintaining central email accounts and diary management (where required), acting as secretariat for meetings and assisting with reporting updates.
