The Strategic Policy and Partnerships Branch is a forward-thinking team dedicated to developing innovative policy and building strong partnerships that deliver tangible outcomes for Queenslanders. Leading statewide strategic policy and reform across the water and volunteering portfolios, the branch operates at the intersection of government, industry, local councils and community organisations.
As a Senior Policy Officer (A06) within the Volunteering Policy and Engagement Team, you will play a key role in addressing the complex challenges facing Queensland's volunteer sector. You will contribute to the department's vision by fostering a performance-driven and customer-focused culture that delivers meaningful outcomes.

About the role:
In this role, you will:
Develop and implement strategic policy initiatives to support a strong, capable and sustainable volunteering sector.
Build and maintain partnerships with stakeholders across government, industry, local councils and community organisations.
Provide expert advice and analysis on complex policy issues impacting Queensland's volunteer sector.
Lead or contribute to projects that deliver practical, measurable outcomes aligned with government priorities.
Display and promote the core public sector values of Customers First, Ideas into Action, Unleash Potential, Be Courageous, and Empower People.

Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex policy challenges.
