The Project Manager (Data Migration Stream Lead) is responsible for leading and coordinating the successful delivery of all Finance Data Migration activities within the Finance Modernisation Program transitioning from SAP ECC6 to SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud. The role provides end-to-end leadership across planning, governance, scheduling, workload coordination, stakeholder engagement, issue and risk management, and delivery oversight for the Data Migration stream.

Your Role

Working across multiple agencies, vendors & third parties, and project streams, the role ensures migration activities remain aligned to project priorities, integrated schedules, testing and cutover milestones, and governance requirements. The role is accountable for maintaining delivery momentum, coordinating resources and dependencies, managing competing priorities, and ensuring the Data Migration team operates effectively to deliver accurate, auditable, and business-ready outcomes.

While supported by technical migration specialists and implementation partners, this role acts as the central coordination and leadership point for all migration-related planning, execution, reporting, and stakeholder management activities.

Your responsibilities include

  • Lead and manage the Data Migration stream to deliver successful outcomes across planning, trial migrations, testing, mock cycles, and production cutover activities.
  • Develop and actively manage integrated schedules, priorities, milestones, dependencies, and critical path activities for the Data Migration stream.
  • Coordinate workload and delivery activities across Data Analysts, agencies, business stakeholders, SAP, and project teams to ensure timely and quality outcomes.
  • Provide leadership, direction, coaching, and support to the Data Migration team to maintain alignment, accountability, collaboration, and delivery momentum.
  • Establish and maintain effective governance, reporting, RAID management, and status tracking processes to support program oversight and decision making.
  • Proactively manage risks, issues, blockers, dependencies, and escalations impacting delivery outcomes and schedule commitments.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement and communication activities across agencies, vendors, project streams, and executive stakeholders to ensure coordinated delivery outcomes.
  • Oversee data migration readiness activities including data profiling, cleansing, mapping, reconciliation, validation, and business sign-off processes.
  • Prepare and deliver high-quality project documentation, governance papers, status reports, schedules, and executive updates while promoting a collaborative and outcomes-focused team culture.
