The Queensland Police Service (QPS) has embarked on a significant organisational transformation of its work health and safety functions. Central to these improvements is the significant uplift in the capacity and capability of the specialist workforce under the Safety and Wellbeing Division.

The AO7 Principal Health & Safety Advisor role is fundamental to workplace engagement, workforce capability building and WHS compliance and advisory services for designated local QPS business units. While co-located within local business units, they are apart of the centralised division which includes senior, principal and management level WHS practitioners.

The Queensland Police Service (QPS) has embarked on a significant organisational transformation of its work health and safety functions. Central to these improvements is the significant uplift in the capacity and capability of the specialist workforce under the Safety and Wellbeing Division.

Safety Operations team within Safety & Wellbeing comprising of safety and risk management specialists with advisors located in police regions, commands and divisions.

Advisors are also based in regional hubs to support State Emergency (SES) and Marine Rescue Queensland (MRQ) functions.

The AO7 Principal Health & Safety Advisor role is fundamental to workplace engagement, workforce capability building and WHS compliance and advisory services for designated local QPS business units. While co-located within local business units, they are apart of the centralised division which includes senior, principal and management level WHS practitioners.
