Manager, Destination 2045 Governance
In this diverse leadership position, you will oversee strategy implementation, engage effectively with key stakeholders, and ensure rigorous governance and reporting.
Managing governance activities, such as the Tourism Cabinet Committee, is central to the role, as is delivering high-quality reports, briefings, and presentations for executive stakeholders, including the Minister.
You will lead a high-performing team, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment while ensuring timely delivery of outcomes within budget and quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building and managing partnerships with stakeholders pivotal to Destination 2045's success.
- Establishing and maintaining governance protocols and processes to monitor and report on the strategy's progress.
- Managing governance committees, including a Cabinet sub-committee, and preparing associated materials.
- Partnering with internal teams and external organisations to ensure alignment and effective delivery.
- Delivering well-researched, high-quality briefings, reports, and presentations.
- Leading a high-performing, adaptable team in a respectful and inclusive workplace.
What we are looking for
We are seeking an experienced, proactive leader with:
- Demonstrated success in leading and delivering significant projects, with accountability for achieving results in dynamic, professional environments (government experience highly regarded).
- Proven expertise in governance, including the design and maintenance of protocols for major strategies or programs.
- High-level communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, paired with strong written capabilities to produce complex and sensitive materials.
- Experience leading teams with agility, flexibility, and initiative while fostering a safe and inclusive culture.
- Knowledge of Queensland's tourism industry or an ability to acquire this understanding quickly.
