About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced legal administrator to take on a position in Legal Aid Queensland's Family Law Directorate. The position coordinates administrative functions across the division.
You will play a key role in practice management, actively identifying opportunities to enhance business processes, streamlining workflows, and implementing improvements that support efficient and effective service delivery across the division.
In this role you will:
- Build a culture of support, collaboration and communication with family law administrative staff across the state.
- Supervise a team of administration staff within the Family Law Services directorate to deliver executive support, litigation support and coordination functions.
- Oversee the development and facilitation of training that responds to specific individuals, teams, and office needs of family law administration staff across the state.
- Coordinate recruitment of administration staff for Family Law Services, including participation on panels.
- Provide guidance and coaching to administration staff in the directorate and Business Support Officers.
- Lead the development, review and implementation internal systems, processes, and work practices. This includes identifying areas for improvement, leading consultation, recommending changes and implementing enhancements to existing practices.
- Develop and maintain the family law litigation support manual in line with changes to legislation and associated court procedures.
- Coordinate meetings to share information, discuss process improvement opportunities and collaborate on changes to the litigation support officer manual.
- Liaise with Directors, Senior Principal Lawyers and Principal Lawyers to coordinate development activities for family law administrative staff.
