Park Ridge State School is located in the western suburb area of Logan city. It services the communities of Park Ridge and the developing areas including Boronia Heights and Regents Park. As the Engagement Teacher, you will contribute to a supportive and inclusive school environment by working alongside teachers and school teams to strengthen responses for students requiring additional engagement, regulation, learning or wellbeing support.

The Engagement Teacher plays a key role within a multidisciplinary team, supporting student wellbeing, engagement, and learning. They work closely with school leaders, teachers, support staff, and families to help students access learning, develop regulation skills, and achieve success at school. The role also involves planning and delivering targeted interventions, supporting teachers with engagement strategies, and contributing to collaborative student support processes.

Key responsibilities include

• Working collaboratively with teachers, leaders and support staff to support student engagement, achievement and wellbeing  
• Planning, preparing and delivering targeted learning and intervention programs for identified students 
• Supporting teachers and teacher aides to implement agreed strategies, adjustments and behaviour support approaches 
• Contributing to Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 intervention responses for identified students 
• Assisting with student support planning and contributing to relevant documentation 
• Developing visual supports in collaboration with teachers
• Supporting the implementation of Personalised Learning Plans and student support plans 
• Assisting students to set, monitor and reflect on individual goals in partnership with teachers 
• Participating in transition processes to support successful student transitions 
• Supporting communication and collaboration with families, school staff and external agencies as appropriate 
• Maintaining relevant records and contributing to monitoring of student progress and intervention responses
