What You'll Lead
- Capital Infrastructure Strategy — Shape and refine the QCS Strategic Asset Plan, ensuring alignment with state wide infrastructure priorities and government frameworks.
- Asset Management Excellence — Build programs that lift lifecycle management, sustainability, asset information systems and emerging technologies.
- Capital Budget Leadership — Own the annual capital budget build, including CBRC submissions and minor capital processes.
- Government Representation — Represent QCS across key asset management forums and influence whole of government outcomes.
- Design Standards Governance — Maintain and enforce design standards across all QCS infrastructure projects.
- High Risk Asset Strategy — Provide strategic planning for safe cell upgrades, electronic security, offender housing and high security facilities under pressure.
- Stakeholder Leadership — Build strong, trusted relationships across government, business units and service providers.
- Risk & Continuity Management — Safeguard the agency's assets through robust risk and business continuity frameworks.
What You Bring
You're a strategic thinker, a confident communicator and a leader who thrives in complexity. You'll also bring:
- 5+ years' experience in capital works delivery and strategic asset planning (experience in correctional environments is a strong advantage)
- Ability to analyse facility impacts and drive policy and strategy responses
- Strong knowledge of contemporary design, maintenance, budgeting and infrastructure trends
- Understanding of legislation and policy for major and minor capital works
- Familiarity with technologies used in correctional infrastructure
- Proven capability in risk management and business continuity
- Sharp research, analysis and problem solving skills
- Excellent organisational and prioritisation abilities
- High level negotiation, communication and conflict resolution skills
- Experience coordinating complex projects and applying project management methodologies
- Strength in strategic analysis and planning
