The successful applicant will work alongside staff to develop capability in supporting students with diverse behavioural and social-emotional needs. This includes modelling effective strategies, facilitating professional learning, and embedding restorative practices to enhance relationships, accountability, and a positive school culture.
Within this context, the role will also support the coordination of targeted behaviour responses, including oversight of the school's internal suspension processes (e.g., RISE Reset Room), ensuring these align with departmental expectations and restorative approaches. The Behaviour Coach will guide staff in using these processes as opportunities for reflection, skill-building, and re-engagement in learning.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading and coordinating coaching and mentoring to build staff capability in behaviour support
* Modelling effective, inclusive, and restorative practices across learning environments
* Supporting the implementation of whole-school behaviour strategies and consistent approaches
* Facilitating professional learning and encouraging reflective practice among staff
* Collaborating with leadership, staff, and families to improve student engagement and wellbeing
* Supporting best practice use of targeted interventions, including internal suspension processes, as part of a broader behaviour support framework
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong instructional leadership, excellent interpersonal skills, and a commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and high-performing school culture.
