In the role of Advisor (Procurement) you will work as part of a district team to develop and implement innovative procurement strategies and activities and provide procurement advice to program managers, project managers and team leaders. You will also be part of the Program Support team and assist in the successful delivery of the district’s contribution to the Queensland Transport and Road Investment Program (QTRIP).

Some of your responsibilities will include:
• Coordinate and monitor the provision of timely, accurate and relevant procurement advice and information in accordance with departmental procurement business and governance framework.
• Provide accurate and professional advice and support to clients regarding end-to-end procurement activities in relation to road infrastructure and maintenance contracts.
• Liaise with counterparts for provision of advice, the gaining of further knowledge with the aim of refining local business processes and practices.
• Understand financial practices and their application to district office processes in relation to procurement.
Mandatory qualifications and conditions
• Due to this role having access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment to the role.
