The Senior Advisor, Youth Detention Recruitment plays a key role in the recruitment and selection of frontline Detention Youth Workers and other departmental staff within youth detention, ensuring compliance with Queensland Government policies and procedures.
Key responsibilities include delivering practical information sessions, engaging in talent attraction initiatives, and cofacilitating candidate assessment processes, such as assessment centres for groups of applicants.
The role requires effective collaboration with a range of internal and external stakeholders. A demonstrated ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, along with a sound understanding of the issues affecting them in contemporary society, is essential.
Additionally, the role involves contributing to the monitoring and evaluation of recruitment activities to drive continuous improvement and ensure the delivery of high-quality recruitment services for youth detention.
