Who we are:
Economic Development Queensland (EDQ)is a Queensland Government agency that unlocks land and accelerates housing, planning and infrastructure delivery - creating livable places and enabling economic growth. Our work helps deliver safe, secure and affordable homes and supports thriving communities across the state.
Empowered by the Economic Development Act 2012, EDQ has unique planning and approval powers to help unblock complex projects and bring development-ready land to market. Our purpose is simple: help Queenslanders find a place to call home, create more jobs closer to home, and support livable communities that reflect Queensland's way of life.
We work across government and with industry to attract investment, enable jobs and deliver projects that make a measurable difference for Queenslanders.
About the role:
In this role, you will be supporting the strategic planning and day-to-day operational activities associated with EDQ's infrastructure charging policies.

• Preparation of financial models, including undertaking cost estimation, validating inputs and drafting schedules of works for review.
• Undertake and review complex infrastructure charge calculations, provide informed advice to applicants and internal teams, and resolve moderately complex policy interpretation matters.
• Conducting scope and cost assessments, preparing recommendations for consideration by managers, and overseeing accurate tracking and reporting of offset workloads.
• Prepare and support the implementation of business and process improvements, policies, procedures and guidelines related to offsets, infrastructure charges and financial matters.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate auditing, cleansing and quality assurance of data.
• Work closely with planning and engineering teams to strengthen financial governance practices.
