Reporting directly to the Director (People & Systems), you will play a pivotal role in supporting both the operational and strategic aspects of the business, including strategic workforce planning, business partnering, industrial relations, performance and case management, attraction and retention and capability development.
Key responsibilities
In the role of Manager (Workforce and Stakeholder Relations) you will lead the Workforce team to deliver innovative workforce solutions at an organisational level to enable RoadTek to deliver their business strategy and delivering on business priorities through best practice strategies focused on living the values of a strong team and promoting the right culture with the right attitude.
To be successful you will need:
• Proven experience in a senior Human Resource leadership role.
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex casework and performance management processes.
• Practical, hands-on approach across operational HR functions and employee lifecycle management.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to drive organisational development and continuous improvement.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes under pressure and tight deadlines.Accountabilities include:
Accountabilities include:
• Leads and manages the Statewide Workforce Team to deliver high-quality HR, employee relations and industrial relations services within a construction-focused environment.
• Develops and implements risk management initiatives across HR, capability development, industrial relations and complex case management.
• Provides expert industrial relations advice to senior leaders and represents the business in IR matters.
• Builds capability in HR, IR and ER for leaders and decision-makers across the organisation.
• Oversees team performance, including recruitment, development, workplace health and safety, and promoting ethical behaviour and decision-making.
Mandatory qualifications and conditions
• Due to this role having access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment to the role.
• Valid Queensland ‘C' class drivers licence or equivalent.
• TMR has a Drug and Alcohol Policy which applies to all Employees, Workers and Visitors to TMR workplaces. This may include random, post incident and reasonable suspicion testing during employment to ensure a safe and healthy workplace.
• You may be required to travel to other locations within Queensland to undertake activities for varying periods of time. You will be entitled to expenses and allowances for such travel.
Desirable requirements:
• Possession of relevant academic qualifications in human resources/industrial relations or in a related area and or other appropriate qualification from a recognised
tertiary institution will be highly regarded.
