As a Positive Support Teacher, you will be a trusted mentor who supports students to overcome challenges, build resilience, and re-engage with learning while collaborating with teachers, families, and support staff to create an inclusive environment where every student feels valued and supported.

What You'll Do

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons in flexible learning environments.
  • Build positive, respectful relationships with students to promote engagement and positive behaviour.
  • Provide targeted support for students with social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to develop personalised learning plans and adapt classroom strategies.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential records of student interventions and progress

What You'll Bring

  • Experience teaching in alternative, flexible, and inclusive education settings, with the ability to adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, building trust and positive relationships
  • Knowledge of behaviour support strategies and restorative practices while demonstrating a genuine commitment to empowering students who have disengaged from traditional schooling.
