Support Officer
State Operations Coordination Centre; Office of the Chief Operating Officer; Head Office; Geebung
The Support Officer provides efficient and confidential administrative and business support services to the Director Operations, State Operations Coordination Centre (SOCC) and to the broader work unit. The role is responsible for the coordination and management of correspondence and requests for information and provides support with a wide range of administrative, financial and human resource (HR) management processing activities including invoicing, payroll assistance, diary and travel management, records management, ministerial correspondence and general administrative support duties.
The Support Officer plays an important role in maintaining a range of SOCC information systems and provides advice to key internal and external stakeholders regarding SOCC operations and processes.

We are seeking applicants who, within the context of the role responsibilities, possess the following key attributes:
- Thorough knowledge, understanding and experience in the delivery of professional administrative and business support services, including financial and human resource management activities and processes.
- Demonstrated high level attention to detail and organisational skills, with the ability to plan and prioritise tasks to achieve required outcomes and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills, with the proven ability to prepare accurate, concise reports, submissions and correspondence.
- Good relationship management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to successfully consult and negotiate with influence across a broad range of clients and stakeholders and work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.
- Well-developed research and evaluation skills with the capacity to develop a range of options and strategies to enhance organisational systems and processes.
- A highly motivated, energetic, and proactive approach to work and a proven commitment to the provision of high-quality customer service.

The following mandatory requirements, special conditions and/or other requirements apply to this role:
- The incumbent may be required to travel on official business and the possession of a C class driver's licence may be required.
