We're helping deliver the transport network for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games—shaping a safe, efficient and connected network for Queensland. The Service Planning & Infrastructure team supports this by planning, coordinating and optimising the state's multi-modal transport network.

The Games Time Passenger Transport (GTPT) team leads the planning of passenger transport solutions for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Bringing together public transport planning, network integration and delivery coordination, the team ensures the network can meet the unique demands of the Games.

Working across modes, GTPT identifies and implements service changes and infrastructure enhancements to support increased demand, while balancing the needs of customers and communities. In close partnership with government agencies, operators and delivery partners, the team plays a central role in translating the Games transport strategy into a practical, deliverable network that leaves a lasting legacy for Queensland.

About the role:
This opportunity is temporary full-time until 30 June 2029 The purpose of the role of Manager (Games Time Passenger Transport) is to lead a team responsible for the planning and specification of the public transport network that will support the travel movements of the workforce and spectators for the Games.

Some of your responsibilities will include:
• Lead a multi-disciplinary team, to deliver outcomes aligned with customer needs, Games commitments and strategic priorities, taking into account operational constraints and opportunities.
• Lead the ongoing refinement of a 2032 Base Public Transport Network Plan, which sets the baseline that the Games Time Public Transport will build upon.
• Lead the development and submission of a 2032 Base Network Budget Submission, to secure funding for Games-related service improvements.
• Lead the development of a Games Time Public Transport Concept of Operations, setting service levels and operating principles.
• Establish strong governance and build partnerships with key stakeholders to support shared ownership of delivery.
• Prepare correspondence such as Cabinet Submissions, Ministerial Correspondence, and briefing notes.

About you:
We're looking for a capable and motivated professional who can bring strong technical expertise, sound judgement and a collaborative approach. We value diverse perspectives and will consider your experience, skills, potential and personal qualities.

Desirable qualifications:
• A degree from a recognised tertiary institution with related content (for example, transport planning, town planning, mathematics, economics, geospatial information systems, engineering or a numerate discipline).
• Previous professional experience in public transport service planning for major events.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex issues clearly and influence a range of stakeholders.
