Project Support Officer

Join the Infrastructure Capability and Insights team as a Project Support Officer (AO4) and help modernise Queensland’s infrastructure planning through data-driven insights and innovation. Using your strengths in communication, stakeholder engagement, project coordination, research and analysis, you will support the delivery of infrastructure initiatives that improve planning, reporting and decision-making across government. You’ll contribute to project reporting, stakeholder consultation, research activities, data management and governance processes while working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams. This role is ideal for someone who is organised, proactive and committed to delivering quality outcomes that support better infrastructure for Queensland communities.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative and forward-thinking team that is modernising Queensland's infrastructure planning and delivery systems. You will support initiatives that enhance infrastructure capability, transparency and coordination across government, helping to ensure Queenslanders have access to the right infrastructure at the right time and place.

Working alongside experienced professionals, you will provide project support, contribute to stakeholder engagement activities, undertake research and analysis, and assist with maintaining data, reporting and project management systems. Your work will directly contribute to the delivery of practical business outcomes that support economic growth and better infrastructure decision-making.

Your Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:
• Provide high-quality project and administrative support across a range of infrastructure initiatives and programs.
• Contribute to stakeholder engagement and consultation activities, building positive relationships with government, industry, community and regional representatives.
• Assist in the preparation of reports, briefings, submissions and correspondence, ensuring information is accurate, timely and aligned with governance requirements.
• Maintain project management and reporting systems, including tracking tools, datasets and information repositories.
• Identify opportunities to improve business processes, reporting practices and system usability.
• Undertake targeted research and analysis, drawing insights from multiple information sources to support project outcomes.
• Support complex infrastructure initiatives by assisting with milestone tracking, risk management and project coordination activities.
• Coordinate records and information management practices to support transparency, accountability and accessibility.
