We're seeking a passionate and dedicated Work Health and Safety Ranger to provide hands-on support and guidance across a diverse and geographically dispersed region.
This role is ideal for a team player with a strong background in Work Health and Safety, who thrives on collaboration and is committed to fostering a culture where safety always comes first.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting management to meet legislative safety obligations and responsibilities.
* Developing, delivering, and implementing Work Health and Safety standards.
* Coordinating and leading risk assessments and implementing effective control measures.
* Ensuring incidents, near misses, and hazards are reported and thoroughly investigated.
* Analysing safety data and making recommendations for improvement.
* Coordinating training programs and maintaining accurate training records.
* Actively engaging with regional staff to ensure compliance with safety requirements.
Based in Mackay, Rockhampton, or Townsville, you will oversee safety and training requirements for 15 work units across a vast region. This will involve travel to small, remote park bases in outback Queensland and large offices in coastal cities, including overnight stays in a range of climatic conditions.
