The Role:

This is your opportunity to join QGAir's dynamic Airworthiness team, where you'll contribute to critical aviation operations that make a real difference to communities across Queensland.

We are seeking an experienced Responsible Manager, Technical Services tooversee the ongoing airworthiness, reliability and configuration control of QGAir's Fixed Wing and Rotary Wing aircraft. In this key role, you will manage aircraft maintenance and reliability programs, ensure compliance with CASA and Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO) requirements and provide expert technical advice to support safe and effective aviation operations.

The successful candidate will maintain oversight of maintenance programs, airworthiness directives, modifications, aeronautical products and fleet configuration to ensure our fleet remains airworthy and regulatory obligations are met.

To be successful in this role, you must have the ability to attain and maintain CASA Form 4 Approval as a Responsible Manager under CASR Part 42.

What We're Looking For:

Mandatory requirements:

  • Ability to attain CASA Form 4 approval as a Responsible Manager (CASA Part 42).

Highly desirable:

  • Be previously approved as a CASA approved Maintenance Controller and/or HAAMC.
  • Hold or have held Responsible Manager (RM) approval in a CASA approved part 42 CAMO.
  • Hold or have held Maintenance Program Approval Employee (MPAE) approval in a CASA approved part 42 CAMO or CASA CAR42M/R IOA.
  • Hold or have held Airworthiness Review Employee (ARE) approval in a CASA approved Part 42 CAMO or a CASA part 21.
  • Previous experience with computer-based maintenance control systems.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Desirable:

  • Hold a Part 66 B1/B2 licences with AW139 or King Air B360 aircraft experience.
  • Experience with Gannet maintenance tracking systems.
  • Previous experience working within a Part 42 CAMO.

Special Conditions

In compliance with CASA Drug and Alcohol Management Plan requirements, the preferred applicant will be required to undergo pre-employment testing and participate in the QGAir Drug and Alcohol Management Program.
