The service focus is design, delivery and evaluation of Adventure Intervention Programming, staff training and mentoring, program support, rick management support. Full-time 12-month temporary contract.
This temporary position is a professional development opportunity. There will be targeted training offered within the 12 months to assist in developing skills and further qualifications.
Applicants need not meet all the Role Profile requirements when applying, however are required to demonstrate a genuine interest in developing professional skills in the delivery of Adventure Intervention and group work programming.
The Adventure Intervention Support Officer key responsibilities are:
- Contribute to the implementation of relevant actions identified in the Outlook Business Plan within established policies and procedures, as directed.
- Assist with the delivery of ABL programs for young offenders or those at risk of offending behaviour.
- Support the Design, develop, and evaluate ABL programs linked to case management objectives.
- Assist with the delivery and assessment of training in ABL for Government and Non-government staff who work with young offenders or those at risk of offending behaviour.
- Participate in the development and review of training courses to a national training standard.
- Establish effective relationships with trainees and their agencies by providing on program support and by contributing to the development and maintenance of training plans.
- Manage risk in relation to staff and participants and comply with any legislation, industry standards, policies and procedures.
- Undertake administrative tasks relevant to program and training delivery in accordance with departmental policies and procedures and contribute to the good governance and objectives of the directorate and department.
