About the role

This position shapes and delivers initiatives that enhance understanding, participation, and collaboration across diverse stakeholder groups. It focuses on developing meaningful connections with industry bodies, community organisations, licensees, and government partners, ensuring information is accessible, accurate, and impactful.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Delivering tailored outreach activities and education programs across Queensland
  • Establishing productive partnerships with external organisations and public sector stakeholders
  • Interpreting insights, trends, and feedback to refine engagement approaches
  • Providing high-level advice, briefings, and communication materials
  • Supporting regional teams with planning and execution of outreach activities
  • Guiding and mentoring colleagues to achieve consistent, high-quality outcomes

About you

Success in this opportunity comes from expertise in building strong professional relationships and translating complex information into practical, audience-focused outcomes. A background in stakeholder relations, communications, or government environments will support effectiveness in this position.

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

  • Proven capability influencing and collaborating with varied audiences
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills suited to diverse contexts
  • Experience preparing reports, correspondence, and briefing materials of a high standard
  • Ability to interpret data, identify patterns, and apply insights to inform initiatives
  • Experience guiding others or contributing to team capability development
  • Exposure to large-scale engagement or education delivery

Additional attributes that will be well regarded include familiarity with construction or regulatory environments, experience representing an organisation in public forums, and a stakeholder engagement qualification, such as IAP2.
