This position is part of the Department of Customer Services, Open Data and Small and Family Business (CDSB) as part of the recent Machinery-of-Government changes. CDSB is currently in negotiations for a certified agreement to cover all CDSB employees. In the meantime, the Core Agreement conditions apply to this position.

We have opportunities for experienced Principal Advisors to join our team! As part of this role you will provide

expert, credible advice and support to management, employees and the team on a wide range of complex and sensitive human resource matters, including but not limited to:

  • General employment conditions and employee matters
  • Recruitment
  • Medical Case matters
  • Performance management coaching
  • Payroll issues
  • Organisational change
  • Job analysis; and
  • Workforce planning

Your work extends beyond your immediate role, contributing to a more connected, accessible and inclusive Queensland. You will coach and mentor the broader HRBP team, sharing your technical guidance and enhancing professional development.

Suited for those who:

  • Enjoy partnering, collaborating and communicating with stakeholders on a regular basis
  • Have a high level of communication, consultation, negotiation and liaison skills
  • Have excellent business writing skills
  • Are self-managed and self-motivated, highly organised and have attention to detail
  • Are able to prioritise efficiently, in line with client and team requirements and commitments
  • Are skilled at research, analysis, and problem solving
  • Thrive on continuous improvement and knowledge sharing with peers and stakeholders
