The Manager, Research is responsible for leading the Research business unit in driving research projects and activities in the context of the CCC's work, coordinating and managing multiple major research projects and CCC officers allocated to those projects, using high level analytical and conceptual skills, especially in the context of designing and carrying out research projects, providing high level methodological and analytical advice within the context of the CCC's work, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, particularly in relation to research priorities, obtaining data, and disseminating findings, communicating with influence the outcomes of research and guiding and assisting other staff in writing reports and producing visualisations suitable for multiple audiences, arising out of the research.

About you
Appointments in the CCC are merit-based and will be assessed by looking at what you have done previously—the knowledge, skills and experience you have built, your potential for development, and your personal qualities which align with the leadership competencies and the CCC's values.
Possession of a tertiary qualification relevant to the role, such as business administration, commerce, criminology, social science or data analytics is a requirement. Qualifications acquired from an overseas educational institution will only be accepted where the qualification has been recognised to an equivalent level in accordance with the Australian Qualifications Framework.
- For this role, we will consider how well you demonstrate the following:
- Extensive experience in designing and managing research or evaluation projects, preferably in a context relevant to the work of the CCC, including in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.
- Extensive experience in providing high level evidence-based advice and insights, preferably leveraging quantitative and qualitative analyses of data (for example, using Stata, R, SAS).
- Experience in providing evidence-based analysis and advice to diverse audiences.
- The ability to communicate with influence, including excellent analytical and insightful writing skills, including writing public reports.
- Ability to guide, mentor, and manage multidisciplinary staff and encourage a collaborative culture.
