About Us:
TMR actively works with our engineers to identify areas for development and offers rotation throughout the department to enable staff a variety of work and experience. This includes rotation within the Delivery, Assets and Maintenance, Project Planning and Preconstruction business areas.

Your role:
In the role of Engineer (Civil) with supervision and guidance from senior engineering staff, you will project manage the delivery of road infrastructure planning projects through the administration of contracts and provision of technical expertise to the concept design, options development and business case processes. In doing this you will ensure effective coordination of key operational activities and resources associated with project management and process development.

The position may involve participating in job rotations across the district. This facilitates the development of the employee's skills and experience while supporting the district's business needs to deliver the QTRIP.

Some of your responsibilities will include:
• Provide support and advice on the planning and design processes, to ensure delivery of project outcomes, value for money and best practice are achieved.
• Manage under supervision, projects or elements of projects and provide monthly financial forecasting and:
 o Undertake tendering and estimating activities to support the effective development and delivery of road infrastructure projects.
 o Assist in determining the engineering requirements, including materials, critical components and systems, involved in supporting project management and delivery.
 o Maintain and apply all relevant standards, policies, guidelines and legislative requirements necessary for the planning and design of road infrastructure projects.
 o Ensure all quality management procedures are adhered to in order to facilitate the delivery of projects to a high and consistent standard for both Transport and Main Roads and clients.
 o Manage and maintain effective liaison and communication with all levels of internal and external stakeholders, on matters relating to transport infrastructure delivery activities.

Qualifications:
• A Washington Accord accredited four-year degree in Civil Engineering or equivalence recognised by Engineers Australia.
• Must be eligible to work in Australia.
• Current holder of a Class C driver licence.
