This is a unique 12-month temporary opportunity to play a pivotal role in embedding a newly established portfolio management framework and helping shape the future of portfolio, project and change management at the Queensland Ambulance Service.
As a key member of the Portfolio Management Office you will lead the development of practical guidance and resources, coordinate a community of practice, provide expert advice and deliver portfolio level assurance for a suite of strategically important initiatives.

Basis for selection:
We are seeking applicants who, within the context of the role responsibilities, possess the following key attributes:
- Demonstrated capabilities and experience in managing and overseeing a portfolio of work, including understanding the legislative and policy framework, governance and compliance requirements within the public sector.
- Proven success in the development and implementation of practical, efficient and effective governance arrangements in respect to portfolio management.
- Demonstrated highly developed communication, negotiation, consultation and collaboration skills and the ability to foster and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve organisational objectives.
- Highly developed conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to coordinate multiple tasks within agreed priorities, timeframes and accountabilities.
- High level knowledge and application of portfolio, program, project and/or change management frameworks and methodologies.
- Demonstrated capabilities and experience in implementing organisational change and service system reform in a complex operational environment with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Mandatory/Special conditions/Other requirements:
The following mandatory requirements, special conditions and/or other requirements apply to this role:
- Whilst not mandatory, tertiary or postgraduate qualification/s in a portfolio, project, change management or related discipline, or experience in a Portfolio Management Office will be highly regarded.
- The incumbent may be required to travel on official business and the possession of a C class driver's licence may be required.
