We are seeking a motivated and collaborative Advisor (Procurement) to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic operational environment where procurement plays a critical role in supporting the successful delivery of road infrastructure and maintenance projects throughout Queensland.
You will work closely with a diverse range of stakeholders across RoadTek, providing trusted advice, fostering strong partnerships and supporting procurement outcomes that align with business objectives and organisational priorities. This role offers a unique opportunity to apply your procurement expertise, influence positive business outcomes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within a large and complex organisation.
As the Advisor (Procurement), you will:
- Deliver high-quality procurement advice and support in accordance with departmental policies, procedures and legislative requirements.
- Manage and monitor end-to-end procurement activities, ensuring procurement processes are efficient, compliant and provide value for money.
- Support procurement planning, evaluation activities, supplier engagement and contract establishment.
- Provide professional advice and guidance to RoadTek employees on procurement and contract management matters.
- Monitor and maintain contract administration activities, reporting obligations and supplier performance requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes, systems and practices to support better business outcomes.
- Coordinate procurement resources and activities to ensure priorities, deliverables and performance targets are achieved.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support successful procurement outcomes.
This role is suited to a procurement professional who can think strategically, build strong partnerships and confidently provide advice in a complex operational environment. You'll have the opportunity to influence business outcomes, support organisational priorities and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across a state-wide organisation.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Experience leading strategically, demonstrating sound judgement, courage and professionalism when making decisions, including in high-pressure situations.
- A strong understanding of governance, legislation, policies and procurement frameworks, with the ability to consistently apply these to achieve compliant and effective outcomes.
- Proven ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders, support business areas through change and build enduring professional relationships.
- Experience in procurement planning, procurement processes and the contract management lifecycle, with the ability to align supply market opportunities with organisational objectives.
