This position is in the Data Integration (DI) team within the Queensland Government Statistician’s Office (QGSO).
In this Statistician/Analyst role, you will provide data linkage, data integration and data management services to Queensland government agencies and researchers.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING IN THE ROLE
• Adhere to legislative and governance requirements in the collection, use, storage and release of confidential, sensitive and other administrative data.
• Support the delivery of person based probabilistic data linkage using customised data linkage software and R.
• Review data linkage outputs (group checking) making recommendations for amendment, using customised tools developed in R.
• Interpret, code, validate and quality assure administrative data, meeting quality and throughput targets.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with clients, data custodians, data users, colleagues and other stakeholders.
• Prepare agreements, reports, correspondence and other documentation as required.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and a positive work environment.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE ROLE
• Experience in processing and managing administrative data.
• Attention to detail and the ability to apply effective judgement, manage risk and adhere to good governance principles.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing work priorities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• A collaborative approach with the ability to build and maintain working relationships.
• A commitment to delivering high quality and timely outputs and to continuously improve methodologies and processes.
A six month probation period applies.
