Your contribution
The purpose of this position is to provide effective and efficient administrative and reception duties, human resources, financial support and recordkeeping to Chermside Child Safety Services.
Working in child safety involves attending high-risk calls and experiencing confronting situations. Resilience and a strong awareness of self, along with good self-care practices, are essential. You will work with diverse children and families facing many different challenges. The role often includes handling high-risk situations such as domestic and family violence, complex mental health issues, substance use, and suicide.
Your mandatory requirements
- It is mandatory to have a Blue Card (a current Working with Children Clearance issued by Blue Card Services) before you commence employment in this role. It is recommended that you lodge an application for a blue card as soon as possible to avoid any delays in commencement should you be offered a position with the department.
- Travel is a requirement of this position, therefore, it is a requirement that the applicant hold a current “C” Class Drivers licence.
