Senior Project Officer
Resources Energy Infrastructure and Partnerships; Coordinator General; Flexible - Brisbane or Townsville

You will facilitate strategic reform and major projects for government, leveraging the CG’s powers to drive development and ensure lasting benefits to our regions.

• Conduct research and evaluation to advise and under the State Development and Public Works Organisation Act 1971 and Strong and Sustainable Resource Communities Act 2017, a range of complex and diverse priorities that drive economic development and infrastructure initiatives.
• Provide strategic, solutions-focused advice within teams and to proponents to support statutory assessment processes and mitigate risks, enabling the timely delivery of priorities and major projects aligned with strategic initiatives.
• Prepare timely and well-researched briefings, reports and correspondence on sensitive and complex issues, and contribute to policy review relevant to the energy resource sector and other priorities.
• Support negotiations with stakeholders to achieve the government's strategic goals and integrate economic and infrastructure objectives with desired environmental, social and industry outcomes.
• Build relationships with key stakeholders to support facilitation, assessment and delivery of major projects.
• Contribute and nurture the positive and inclusive culture of the Office of the Coordinator-General.
