The Manager role will develop and implement strategies and practices that maintain and enhance the performance, value and utilisation of the built asset portfolio of the department.

What you will be doing:
• Lead the development, review and implementation of reporting frameworks and systems for the collection and presentation of financial information and performance data to senior management relating to capital and operating budgets/expenditure and portfolio management activities
• Manage oversight of Social and Affordable Housing Growth's capital budget and forecast expenditure, including the availability of funding over the forward estimates and prioritisation of investment
• Coordinate strategic financial management processes, including working with departmental stakeholders to develop procedures and governance mechanisms for Social and Affordable Housing Growth's capital budget and expenditure
• Provide expert budget and financial management advice to senior management and service area staff.
• Manage performance reporting for Social Housing Delivery Office and provide expert advice and recommendations to senior management and external stakeholders
• Manage stakeholder relationships including the maintenance of service provider agreements and the critical analysis and reporting of performance
• Ensure key performance indicators and other performance management targets are developed and monitored to assist in meeting the organisation's strategic goals and objectives
• Manage adherence to a comprehensive corporate governance framework and an environment of continuous improvement through the application of relevant procedures and compliance to management systems including risk management, quality management and systems appraisals
• Manage the social housing annual asset valuation process
• Provide leadership, direction and advice to management and service area staff related to financial, administrative and human resource activities
• Prepare and deliver timely, well-researched and prepared briefings, reports, budgets, submissions, ministerial and departmental correspondence on major portfolio performance management issues.

• Provide clear and accurate reporting of financial and performance information.

The successful candidate will have a high level of competency with computer applications including the Microsoft Office suite.
