Your role within Social and Affordable Housing Growth will support the department to lead the delivery of enhanced housing outcomes through an integrated approach to overall supply. The work you will do helps someone every day, and that means the world to us.
As Senior Conveyancing Officer, you will provide conveyancing services and support to the department’s property management and home purchase assistance programs. You are required to have a high degree of problem solving in the delivery of conveyancing for the purchase or sale of residential property. This role is valid until 30/06/27 with possible extension.

Through partnerships, Social Housing Delivery Office provide and influence the provision of safe, secure, affordable, and appropriate housing to the people of Queensland, and the building of vibrant and connected precincts and communities in which they live.
What you will be doing:
• Provision of conveyancing services and support for the Department's property related dealings.
• Provision of conveyancing services and support for the Department's home lending products through the Debt and Property Services area.
• Provision of advice to senior management and staff on conveyancing issues and their impact on the operations of the department.
• Provision of high-level advice to the department's Debt and Property Services area and the Social Housing Delivery Office in relation to Native Title requirements, State Duty considerations and Property Occupations Act (POA) requirements.
• Managing and supporting the day-to-day operations of the conveyancing area.
• Supporting and helping maintain a workplace safety culture by ensuring that all policies and practices concerning Workplace Health and Safety are applied and a part of day-to-day operations.

While there are no mandatory qualifications for this role, conveyancing and financial experience and the knowledge to deliver in a property-based business will be highly regarded.
