An exciting opportunity is now available for a Project Support Officer on the Gold Coast. You will work as part of a dynamic team that provides support to program and project managers. You will be required to utilise a broad range of computer programs, information management systems and databases to provide high level of support that will enhance the timely and effective delivery of project/s, ensuring compliance with appropriate legislation, organisational policies and procedures.

The AO3 positions within the region work interchangeably across a variety of functions supporting the team's needs, with accountabilities including:

  • Understand financial practices and their application including: accrual accounting, accounts payable and receivable, transactional analysis and reconciliation and financial reporting.
  • Undertake project reporting to ensure accurate tracking and to indicate the overall financial position and provide early warnings of deviations.
  • Prepare financial documentation for example, journals, requisitions, financial approvals and goods receipts.
  • Actively contribute to effective team operation.
  • Where required, administer, maintain and ensure the delivery of a range of support activities.
  • Provide effective assistance for project staff to ensure tasks are completed within specified deadlines.
  • Comply with the WH&S Act, Regulations and Department policy.
