Looking for a leadership role in one of Australia's most iconic natural landscapes?

Based in Diwan near Cape Tribulation, this Ranger position offers the opportunity to live and work where the Daintree Rainforest meets the Great Barrier Reef. You'll work alongside Joint Management partners and Traditional Owners to protect and manage a World Heritage-listed environment while helping visitors connect with its unique natural and cultural values.

As a Ranger (OO5), you will help lead a work group delivering a wide range of park management activities across Daintree National Park (CYPAL).

Working closely with the Ranger in Charge, Joint Management partners and local Indigenous communities, you will support the planning and delivery of fire, weed and pest management programs, infrastructure maintenance, visitor management, compliance activities and natural and cultural resource projects.

The role includes supervising field operations, coordinating projects, maintaining records and reports, managing resources, supporting emergency response activities and providing highquality customer service and education to park visitors. You'll need strong communication, leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to motivate others, build productive relationships and work both independently and as part of a team. 

Experience in conservation, natural resource management, land management or a related field will be highly regarded.

A current unrestricted manual driver's licence is mandatory.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading by example, working outdoors, collaborating with First Nations partners and delivering positive outcomes for some of Queensland's most significant natural and cultural landscapes.
